Accountability Check-Ins

What are accountability check-ins?

One or more student who meets with a Newlane counselor on a regular basis and commits to making progress on whatever course they are working on—each student can be working on a different course. During the sessions, each student commits to taking specific steps toward completion, and reports on the actual progress they made. It’s also a chance to share study strategies, ask questions, and get to know other students.

Like Guided Courses, the student(s) meet(s) regularly with a counselor. Unlike Guided Courses, students need not be working on the same course.

Who are these for?

Accountability check ins are an additional support service for students who are motivated by accountability and (possibly) peer interaction. Any current student can participate, but it is not required.

When are the next check-ins scheduled?

Check-ins will be scheduled based on student availability. To learn more or to schedule a Counselor meeting or an accountability check in, email: moe@newlane.edu
