Yes, kind of. Newlane is a “competency based” program, meaning you move on to new course content once you have a good grasp of the current material.
Periodic tests show you how well you understand the material. Didn’t do well on a test? No problem. Take it as many times as needed until you’re ready to proceed.
Are there big projects?
There are some larger projects designed very carefully to help you better understand the material. They’re not busywork.
